- Tracked concept motorcycles
- Loft beds
- Manta saddle (I may need one, even at GBP125)

Kanamara Matsuri Photo
I found this photo to be hilarious. Probably because I've been to the Kanamara Matsuri and have witnessed the weirdness firsthand.

Split Tongue
Don't ask me how I found it. The YouTube channel of the infamous split tongue chick, that is. No recent posts, though--perhaps due to a mod gone awry...?

Silhouette
Interesting device to "print" out cut stencils. The wife might find this useful, so it could be a neat Christmas present for her, albeit a bit of a spendy one.

OTs-38 Silent Revolver
I thought the Nagant M1895 revolver was the only one capable of using a sound suppressor. Apparently there's also the OTs-38, which has an integral suppressor. It fires through the bottom cylinder, like the Mateba and Rhino. The cartridge is 7.62x42, and appears (from the photo) similar in shape to the 7.62x38R cartridge except longer and without a rim. I'd love to get my hands on one of these guns!

Implements of Fire
Joel at work sent me a link to AK47, an Italian design shop that does mostly patio fire implements. Pretty funky stuff.

Pendrive Linux
Just read a mention of multiple bootable OSes from a single USB memory stick via Pendrive Linux. There's the universal installer and multiboot. That could be fun to play with.

Rhino .357
Guns & Ammo has an issue featuring the Chiappa Firearms Rhino revolver. I skimmed the article at Wally World when I went to buy some ammo, but it had very little on the gun itself, particularly pricing. So I did a search online and found a press release that mentions the U.S. distributor, MKS Supply. Apparently they're based out of Dayton, Ohio. Go figure!
The designer is the guy who came up with the Mateba autorevolver, Emilio Ghisoni.
Edit [2010.12.18]: There are some pictures on a thread on GlockTalk's forums.

Ring on the Sun
A guy at work mentioned something he'd seen in the news—a ring developing on the sun. Dunno what it is, and to someone who generally ignores sunspots and flares, I have no comment. Weird, though.

Chinese Multiplication
Joel sent me a link to a YT video, which demonstrates a visual method of multiplication that is purportedly used by the Chinese. Pretty funky. I need an explanation of why it works....
